Welcome to the world

 Welcome to the World, and guess what? You're going to get hurt here.

You'll fall off your bicycle and feel like you're a failure. And you'll witness your parents fight for the first time and realize that they are not as perfect as you thought they are.

Your friend will tell you that she is sick but then you see a picture of her going out with other friends. You'll be so excited about dyeing your hair half blond and your classmates will make fun of you so badly that you never wore your hair down for the next month.

And a stranger will go inside the garden your father has been planting for so long and steal all the ripened fruits. You'll say something hurtful to your brother and learn that the biggest punishment is having to live with the guilt of it. 

And one random day, the person who held your hand in the car while listening to Alexi Murdoch for 2 years straight will wordlessly leave you feeling unworthy and unseen, and you will have to sit with the void they left and learn how to build a life without them.

And if I'm being honest, that is just the beginning.

But ...

Have you seen how the sun casts it's first rays in the morning? Have you seen a moonset behind the sea? Has anyone told you about fireflies? And have you looked into someone's eyes close enough to notice how similar it is to star dusts? Close enough to understand that we hold galaxies with just a gaze? 

And have you tried french-fries with a Mc Flurry yet? And did you know that we close our eyes before kissing a lover because as the Little Prince said, the most beautiful things we experience in the world cannot be seen nor touched, they can only be felt with the heart? Or that someday you're going to tell someone about that horrible thing you did, and when you search their eyes for resentment you will be surprised to only find acceptance? 

Tell me, have you ever been touched by love? and felt it's warmth between the fingertips of a lover and your cheekbones? Have you ever loved someone deeply to the point that it changed you from the inside?

You're going to get hurt here, and when you look back at it, you'll beg the universe for more.
